What is Predator Protein?
Predator Protein by Amix is a protein source based on Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC), to which beef Amino Acid Peptides have been added, to further enhance its the effect on protein synthesis.
The technique employed for its production uses a low temperature processing system, which guarantees the integrity of the protein fractions, and therefore, results in a non-denatured protein.
What benefits does the Whey Protein Concentrate have?
The protein provided by Predator Protein will have the following benefits:
Excellent source of high quality protein
The protein obtained from whey is separated from the milk in the cheese production process. It is therefore an animal origen protein, which implies that it will deliver a complete protein, that is, within its amino acid profile we will have the essential amino acids, the external intake of these amino acids is a priority because our organism is not capable of their synthesis.
WPC is a protein that is defined by its absorption rate, ie it has a rapid digestion, including it within the category of proteins known as 'Rapid Proteins'. This is because in the extraction process, when the whey is obtained, the fraction with a slow rate, casein, is eliminated.
For moments proximate to training, that is before and/or after, we can state that whey will be the best protein to take . Also, another suitable moment will be when we wake up.
Whey protein is rich in branched amino acids (BCAAs), which has a prominent presence in skeletal muscle: about one-third of the total. Additionly there is a conditioning fact for which its supply is benificial for muscle growth: they suffer the highest rate of degradation during physical stress. Leucine, which is one of the members, has been seen to favor the complex process of the creation of new proteins by activating the mTOR pathway.
This issue is linked to the fact that proteins are the most satiating macronutrient, and to establish a hypocaloric diet (energy deficit), when the goal is to improve body composition, is one way to reach this target. However, in this process, the body will be demanding through a greater sensation of hunger, the lack of calories. In these terms, a high protein diet, supplemented with whey protein, is a mechanism to be able to control this sensation.
Training is a catabolic process, that is, the proteins that constitute the muscle tissue are degraded. However, this is part of the process of muscle growth and regeneration: first it has to be broken to then be created. And applying this idea to tissues and muscle mass, new stronger tissues will be created. In order for this phase to be more successful, and in quicker terms, Glutamine has a major role. When performing a physical activity, of a certain intensity and for a certain time, the plasma levels of this amino acid begin to decrease. Our body has the capacity to replace them, but if the frequency and/or intensity are high, as can happen in a workout routine with weights or endurance sports, that capacity will be diminished, and one of the symptoms shown will be a worse recovery. Therefore, ensuring that these levels return to normality, will affect positively in the processing of a workout and the achievement of an optimal physical recovery.
Who can benefit from taking Predator Protein?
- Sportsmen and/or athletes looking to improve their body composition, recovery, and not lose muscle mass.
- Anyone who is carrying out a training program, and aims to improve body composition, and seeks to include proteins to complete their requirements, and approach the objectives.
