Organic Dark Tahini by Meridian is a delicious cream based on organic black sesame. This cream is very rich in minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, silicon, chromium and copper. It also contains vitamin E and vitamins from the B Group. Tahini cream is also very rich in lecithin (phosphorylated fat containing nitrogen), even more than soya and therefore some consider it to be the vegetable richest in this substance. It also contains a natural antioxidant, sesamol.
The cream is also very rich in fibre to help prevent constipation and improve digestive processes. Despite the fact that it has a high content in fats, these are for the most part monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats which are beneficial for cardiovascular health. It has a high content in vegetable proteins, although it should be pointed out that these are incomplete proteins and it is advisable to complement this product with another type of food to complete the profile of essential amino acids.
A good idea is to combine with cereals and pulses to create a high quality protein.
